RF Induction Heaters

Ultra Tec RF Induction Heaters

RF Induction Heaters

Traditional Valve Type RF Induction Heater

Typical old valve technology type power unit for comparison with new compact Ultratec. Disadvantages of this technology are large footprint, high voltages, reliability and Health and Safety concerns.

RF Induction Heaters

Modern Ultratech RF Induction Heater

Typical solid state Ultratec system with low impedance safe output. Available in 2.5Kw to 48Kw, 30KHz to 200KHz. Ultratec addresses all issues relating to old valve machines including smaller footprint, reliability, efficiency and safety. All units are CE and fully compliant with latest UK and European Safety Directives.

RF Induction Heaters

The Ultratec range of solid state RF Induction Heaters from Inductelec limited provides a clean, quiet compact and safe UK designed and built solid state replacement for traditional valve powered RF Induction Heaters. Their cutting edge design utilises the latest in digital control and igbt/mosfet switching techniques to address the main limitations and drawbacks associated with traditional valve powered RF Induction Heaters.

In designing the Ultratec our engineering design team were asked to focus their efforts on addressing the limitations of traditional RF Induction Heaters in particular the efficiency, flexibility, footprint and safety concerns.

The range incorporates powers from 2.5 Kw to 40Kw with frequencies of 60 to 200 KHz with a range of features including our revolutionary DZM dynamic impedance matching system and sate of the art can bus commuinications interface allowing ease of connection to PLC control systems in fully integrated handling solutions or to the complete spectrum of control and monitoring devices.

The modular approach to our design allows simple plug and play repairs together with the ability to increase power outputs should new applications or re utilisation of the equipment demand this.

The DZM system allows our power units to track load conditions and deliver maximum power across a previously unheard of range of coils and load conditions. The system also maximises power pre and post curie in ferritic loads, a limitation which was unavoidable with tradition RF Induction Heating technology. This unique system allows smaller power units to be used than if utilising the traditional thermionic power triode type RF Induction Heater approach.

Our high efficiency work-head system and low impedance output circuits allow many applications to be conducted with open coils by removing the high voltages associated with traditional RF Induction Heaters ensuring operator safety by removing the risks of electric shock and RF burns.

Ultratec RF Induction Heaters are in daily use across the globe carrying out all manner of RF Induction Heating applications including traditional and niche processes as diverse as Forging, melting, Brazing, Induction hardening weld annealing and shrink fitting.

All units are designed developed and manufactured at our site in Sheffield and come fully CE marked in line with the latest UK and European guidelines.
